In the late 1950’s, Knute and Merle Solland of Vancouver, Washington designed and built two very special hydroplanes. The beautiful Solland Hydro ‘HASTY TOO’ was built in 1956, and was raced by Merle to a national championship in 1958. It is currently powered by a 215 Buick engine, and the original V-8 85 engine will be sold with the boat, in unrestored condition. The Solland 136 ci. hydro ‘HASTY’ was built in 1954 and powered by a Ford V8-60 engine, and is in stunningly original condition.
